September 21st, 2012 was indeed no ordinary Friday for the fifth formers of MGS Ipoh. It was the pinnacle of the schooling year, the one night everyone could drop the burdens of reality and become someone else entirely - Graduation Night 2012. True to this year's theme, 'Once Upon A Time', the girls gave the guests of Kinta Riverfront Hotel and Suites quite the treat when they showed up in flowing gowns, looking every bit like the princess each of them are.
The Form 4 committees pulled off an amazing opening act, and following Puan Nalini's officiating speech, the girls and teachers treated themselves to a feast fit for a king. The classes each performed a number, much to the guests' delight. 20 lovely ladies were then nominated by the teachers for the prestigious title of the night, Grad Queen 2012. They each strutted their stuff on the stage, before answering several questions.
5S1 emerged victor of the inter-class performance competition, while Liew Wei Shing wore nothing but pride and joy on her face when the Graduation Queen tiara and sash were presented to her by Puan Nalini. It was a night full of glamour and laughter, and certainly one that everyone present will fondly reminisce over in the coming years.
