Activities Out Of School

SMI GATHERING
THEME : LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

Our school rangers joined the SMI Gathering which was held yesterday in their school. About 33 rangers went and each of them represented the school for different kinds of activities such as Iron Guide, Modern Cooking, Signature Hunt, Marching............

Out of 11 schools that went, we are the ONLY school with teacher advisers. This shows how committed and responsible our teachers are. They are Cik Lai and Pn Normaria.

After registration, we went to their 4 Sci 4 classroom. I think we should be grateful with our school classrooms. No offense though. Then, activities started with Modern Cooking. We were well represented by Liew Shi Yun (our head prefect), Koay Peng Han, Farah and Foong Kah Hooi. They are supposed to prepare 8 dishes in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Our school good-cooks...

In between the Modern Cooking was the Iron Guide. Liang Kai Qi and Tan Yi Ying from our school joined that activity. It was not easy. It required a really high stamina and must be physically strong. Both of them were able to complete their tasks.

Then, everyone rested in the classroom and waited for the gathering to start. About 5 in the evening, we were to assemble at their basketball court before going into the hall. As we entered the hall, it was really dark. Later, cheers from every school went on and on. We were so quiet because we do not have enough people.

Our sketch started around 6p.m. The members performed a great sketch with the theme of LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS. We got cheers n claps from everyone especially our own rangers. They were screaming, cheering and clapping all the time. MGS spirit!!!

Around 7p.m. we left the hall as permission was given. Pn Normaria was there to make sure everyone of us went out. The gathering ended with smiles on everyone's faces.
Although it was tiring, but I'm sure everyone enjoyed it. We got feedbacks requesting that we have more rangers to join next year to experience something different. Besides, some requested that the school will allow them to stay later since the prize giving ceremony is at the end of the gathering.

Anyway, the school's 12th Unit Rangers would like to thank the school for giving them the chance to attend the gathering and the support given in the preparations. A big thank you to the teachers in charge too. Thank You.

Teacher's Day Celebration (Episode 2)

In the morning, we had a formal assembly to celebrate the school level teacher's day. Assembly was held at the badminton court which is the usual place but it was rather cramp today because all teachers were sitting along the corridor instead the Form 2 block.
WOW!
Our PK and GK.
The crowded corridors with teachers paying attention. =)

The celebration began with our head prefect's speech representing the students. Then it was our Principal, Mrs Lee. Before she ended her speech, she stressed a lot about the sales of the coming ballet concert. Support us, people!!! =)
Shi Yun giving her speech.
Mrs Lee giving her speech and promoting the Ballet Concert as well.

Then we had our only performance for the day which was from the Form 4 prefects. It was wonderful and the dance was just practiced one day before it because of the lack of time. Anyway, everyone enjoyed it including the teachers as everyone laughed non-stop.
The awesome dance =)

Later, the prefects presented the Teacher's Day gift to each of the teachers which was a mug. That was the gift bought by using the money from each student. Then, assembly ended with our School Song.
Pn Lim and Pn Cheong. Happy faces...

Teachers checking out their mugs. haha...

smile... =)

Teachers receiving a special gift from our Head Prefect???
Prefects giving mugs to the teachers.
Teachers got a lot of presents and gifts from the students today but i think students should not only show their appreciation by just giving expensive presents but to show how much teachers mean to them.Follow teachers' instruction, and finish up the work..................

HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!!!

and

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!!!

Attention to all teachers of MGS :

HAPPY TEACHERS ' DAY!!!

Unfortunately, this year's Teachers' Day is on a Saturday but no big deal. This will not stop us from celebrating this special day with our wonderful teachers. About Teachers ' Day, thousand words of appreciation from us, the students , for all the guidance and advice you 'superhumans' have given us ! ! !

1) A good teacher is like a candle that consumes its life and light the way for others.
2) What the teacher is is more important that what he/she teaches.
3) The best teachers teach from the heart not from the book.

With a special gift of learning
And a heart that deeply cares,

You add a lot of love
For everything you share,

And even though you mean a lot
You'll never know how much,

For you help to change the world
Through every life you touch,

You spark the creativity
In the students whom you teach,

And help them strive for goals
That could not be bought,

You are such special teachers
That no words can truly tell,

However much you're valued
For the work you do so well !!!

THANK YOU TEACHERS,

FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR US!!!

The Report Card Of The Teachers in MGS Ipoh :

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
HAVE A NICE DAY!!! =)

We would love to hear from you . ****You can e-mail to...........MGS_ediboard@hotmail.com
